First, the best program to write Java in (IDE) that I've found is Eclipse.

If you have a question, I suggest going to #java on irc.openprojects.org. You'll need an IRC client ( Windows or Mac). Note that there's usually about 70 people in that channel idling so you may have to wait for an answer. Please check the Java API and tutorial before asking any questions, you don't want to waste people's time.
